DESCRIPTION

The GlacierX ice rod is back with three upgrades ice anglers asked for: three interchangeable tips, bigger ceramic guides and a choice of 28" or 33" in two colors.

Every rod pairs a light, stiff carbon fiber base with ML, M and MH fiberglass tips. Fish the ML for panfish and trout, the M for bass and walleye, and the MH when pickerel and pike move in — all on one rod. The tips are color-coded, so you always know which power you are fishing.

Small guides are the first thing to ice up. GlacierX now uses larger ceramic guides that give ice more room before it chokes your line, so you spend less time clearing guides and more time fishing.

An EVA grip stays warm and secure in the cold, and a metal reel seat locks your reel in place. Backed by our 5-year warranty.

Which tip should I use?

ML for panfish and trout (6–8 lb line, 1/4–3/8 oz lures). M for bass and walleye (8–12 lb, 3/8–3/4 oz). MH for pickerel and pike (12–20 lb, 3/4–1 oz). All three tips come in the box, so you can switch as the bite changes.

Will the guides freeze up?

In hard cold any guide can collect ice. GlacierX now uses larger ceramic guides, which give ice more room before it chokes your line, so you stop to clear them far less often than with small guides.

Should I get the 28" or the 33"?

Pick 28" for shanties, hub shelters and close-quarters jigging over the hole. Pick 33" for open ice, deeper water and a longer hookset sweep. Both come with all three tips.
